I was lucky to hang out with the lovely mixed breed dog Mollie in Boulder, Colorado and Niwot, Colorado on a beautiful summer evening. By choosing two locations, her human mama and I were able to capture Mollie swimming in the Boulder Creek and running around in a beautiful Niwot backyard full of flowers and a bit of green.

I love photographing dogs swimming–there is always more joy and playfulness when water is added! (And, of course, snow dogs are equally joyful in the winter!) Plus, those shaking-the-water-off photos always make me giggle…

Enjoy these photos; they make me long for summertime and its warmer weather, swimming, and flowers!
