Last month I headed up to Fort Collins to take winter dog portraits with a lovely couple. The couple wanted photos of themselves with their dog Aspen standing in the courtyard of their home.
On the drive to Fort Collins, it started dumping snow–it was incredible how much accumulated in such a short period of time. Because we were photographing in front of a pine tree wrapped in Christmas lights, I was pretty excited for the white stuff. I knew it would make the images more fun, as long as the couple was willing to cooperate. (I had no doubt that Aspen would love to romp around in the snow!)
Happily, the couple embraced the Colorado snow, and I photographed them posing with the very well-behaved Aspen pup. I then took a few photos of Aspen in action in the backyard, playing in the snow.
These images would be great on a greeting card or having a couple of them framed to hang in the home (this is a service I offer my pet portrait clients)!
